Bob Holsworth

Managing Partner, DecideSmart

Bob Holsworth is a managing partner at DecideSmart. Prior to stepping into his current position, Holsworth was the founding director of the Center for Public Policy and the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University.

He also served as dean of VCU’s College of Humanities and Sciences, the largest unit of the 31,000-student university.

Holsworth has occupied key positions in several major governmental initiatives. He was the executive director of Governor Warner’s Commission on Efficiency and Effectiveness. He chaired Governor McDonnell’s Independent Bipartisan Commission on Redistricting and was co-staff director of Governor Wilder’s Commission on the Future of Virginia’s Urban Areas.

Holsworth recently served two terms on the Board of Visitors at VCU and a five-year term as board chair of the Great Aspirations Scholarship Program.
