Mark Hourigan is the founder and CEO of Hourigan, a fully integrated construction and development firm based in Richmond.

In his nearly 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Hourigan has shepherded some of the Commonwealth’s most innovative and skyline-defining projects.

His leadership extends into the community where he is passionate about growing the next generation of industry leaders. This effort has led him to a role on the Advisory Board at the Virginia Tech School of Building Construction. In this role, he serves as a guest lecturer, assists in developing curriculum, sponsors internships, and provides real-world experience by integrating the students into Hourigan projects.

Hourigan also currently serves on the board of ChamberRVA, Grow Capital Jobs Foundation (the support organization for Region 4 of GO Virginia), Management Roundtable, Community Foundation for a greater Richmond, Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and the State Board for Virginia Community Colleges.

Hourigan holds a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and an MBA from the University of Richmond.
