Ted Chandler is co-founder and managing director of NRV, a Virginia based venture capital firm that brings counsel, connections, and capital to high growth early-stage companies. He offers decades of C-suite experience, strategic leadership, and board service.

As a community leader, Chandler co-chairs the RVA757 Connects megaregion collaborative.

He currently serves on the boards of the VCU Massey Cancer Center, Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, University of Richmond School of Law, and the Richmond Performing Arts Center. Over the course of his career, Chandler has served over 40 corporate, education and community boards.

Prior to co-founding NRV, Chandler was chairman and CEO of a Fortune 500 financial services company. He began his career as an attorney at Williams Mullen, a large Mid-Atlantic law firm, where he specialized in business and securities law.

Chandler has a bachelor’s in accounting from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law.

He is married to Laura Lee Chandler and together they enjoy playing golf, hiking, biking, sailing and most other outdoor recreational activities.
