Joined RVA757 Connects: 2021

Peggy Layne has been a resident of Hampton Roads for over 30 years and considers herself a “professional volunteer.” After a 40-year career with Dominion Energy, she now dedicates her energy and diverse business experience to work for organizations that make her community a better place to live.

As a member of the CIVIC Class of 2017, Layne worked on the initial megaregion initiative. She has been a state board member for the Virginia Community College System since 2017 holding the positions of committee chair, vice chair, and currently is the board chair.

She led the Citizens’ Advisory Council on the Furnishing and Interpretation of the Executive Mansion from 2019-2022. Layne continues to support An Achievable Dream as a member of the Certified Academies Board and is a member of the United Way South Hampton Roads Women United 10-for-10 Council.
