Nneka Chiazor was named vice president for the Hampton Roads market for Cox Communications in January 2023.

After 20 years in Washington, D.C., serving in various leadership roles in the telecommunications industry, she joined Cox Communications in 2017 as vice president of public and government affairs in Virginia and North Carolina overseeing all aspects of state and local government relations, employee communications, media affairs and community relations including public-private partnerships.

Active in several civic and business organizations, she has received awards for her performance and corporate citizenship, including the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities Humanitarian Award.

She also serves on the boards of the Broadband Association of Virginia (VCTA), and Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce.
