Entrepreneurs Scott and Lauren Janney transformed a simple idea – offering magazines in waiting rooms, coffee shops, restaurants, and other public spaces – by leveraging modern technology to create a more efficient, accessible, and environmentally friendly solution.

The Hampton Roads couple in August 2020 launched Magazine Jukebox, the first digital entertainment platform that allows customers to access popular magazines and other content in businesses without needing to download an app. This service, paid for by the businesses, is available to customers at no cost, providing a convenient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional physical magazines.

Tune in to a webinar on Wednesday September 4 at noon to dive deeper into this revolutionary solution that is redefining digital entertainment in commercial spaces. Learn from the founders how Magazine Jukebox is modernizing the concept of a magazine rack and providing a hygienic, eco-friendly option for businesses and their customers. They also will share more about their journey as entrepreneurs.

Also learn how 757 Collab and 757 Startup Studios helped Scott and Lauren Janney and their Magazine Jukebox business in the early days of their startup and continues to offer support for them as they scale. Hear how 757 Collab helps fuel daring ideas through incubation for growth-minded founders like Scott and Lauren Janney.

Magazine Jukebox offers a seamless experience, allowing users to access a wide range of digital content on their personal devices by simply scanning a QR code, receiving an SMS or email, or through app integration – no downloads or logins required.

This innovative platform not only enhances the customer experience by decreasing perceived wait times but also offers businesses an opportunity to place custom advertisements, ensuring a return on investment. Magazine Jukebox wants to deliver content and services that elevate the customer experience for businesses nationwide.

The Norfolk-based business was an inaugural tenant at 757 Startup Studios, which provides a space to build companies, create connections, and reduce obstacles for early-stage founders as the hub for growth-minded entrepreneurs in Hampton Roads.
