What is a Global Internet Hub? And what does such a designation mean for the I-64 Innovation Corridor megaregion from Richmond to Hampton Roads?
RVA757 Connects has been spearheading efforts to accelerate the I-64 Innovation Corridor in becoming an internationally recognized Global Internet Hub. Pursuing this recognition, however, is not for the designation itself but, rather, for what an advanced and growing world-class digital infrastructure will mean for the businesses, communities, and future equitable growth of Richmond’s and Hampton Roads’ economies. But a strategic plan is needed.
This summer, RVA757 Connects convened more than 60 top leaders from 10 different industry and business categories including corporations, higher education, military, and government to develop a strategic plan. The Steering Committee has been working on developing a strategic plan and has hired internationally-known consultants to help provide data.
The webinar will provide an update on the status of the strategic plan and our findings to date.
